Keyhole Canyoneering

This was clear back in June, but these photos are definitely blog worthy!  We started out with our friends Matt and Joelle (for Matt's birthday hike) and Nate and Sara to do Keyhole (short, easy, beginner hike) and Echo canyon.

Echo canyon starts just off of the highway in Zion so we did not expect to see a whole herd of mountain goats right at the mouth of the canyon!!!
From Left to rigth: Sara, Joelle, Matt, Jesse, Nate.  Back row: GOATS!!!! SO CLOSE!
BEAUTIFUL!

Gotta check the gear :)

He looks confused, but I promise he knows what he's doing!

Like dis.

Da ladies
Jesse takes every available opportunity to support my rear :)

No canyon is complete without a repel down into mysterious murky water!  How deep is it? Don't know!  What died in here? Who cares!  There's only one way out and that is through this water!
Happy Birthday Matt! Surrounded by ladies in a canyon! Woot Woot!

Okay friends, if you have never played in the swimming hole at the mouth of pine creek, you better be headed that way RIGHT NOW!  Pristine, Lovely, Gorgeous!
Jumping off the rocks

Wet suits make you float :)
Such clear water!

So then we started out to find Echo canyon.  We headed up the overlook trail (which, btw, is steeper aaand longer than angels landing.
Nice few, I mean VIEW!

Anyway, long story short, we were never sure on where Echo canyon actually dropped off so we just called it a day and had ourselves a pretty little hike right back down the overlook trail.
If we look hot it's because we are!
