the 4th on the 5th

The kids watched Amanda light off the little ones like the snakes and they each had a box of snaps to throw around. I was sitting by myself, miserable, missing Jesse (ok, it wasn't that bad, but I did miss him!).When it starts getting dark, the sparklers come out!
Cooper got ahold of the camera... and took some revealing photos of himself,
and his dirty feet.
Marshall was very skeptical of the fireworks and as they grew increasingly louder and brighter he grew increasingly uneasy, until grandpa took him inside. He twiddles his fingers when he's nervous.

We got through that holiday without Jesse, but we were sure ready for him to come home!
