Leila, my sweet, innocent, pure, adorable (the list could exceed the length of the bible) little angel girl has developed a distinct interest in the kitchen garbage can. I lament her intrigue in the many things we throw away: banana peels, bits of ribbon or string, empty egg cartons and milk jugs. She can't get enough of this device and it's uses and contents. She likes to peek inside and see if there is anything of interest within her reach. If not, she'll put something of interest in there, like, say, my phone. No joke. Two days ago I could hear it ringing and I looked all around the kitchen, as I got closer and closer to the garbage my horror increased... "SHE DIDN"T!" was all I could think. Oh, yes, she in fact did.
The other problem occurs when she finds something of interest in the garbage, pulls it out, and either plays with it or eats it. Yes, eats it. Like when I threw away a piece of stale sourdough bread. Let's just say it didn't stay thrown away for long, not with Leila around anyway.

Shut up! That is so funny! Well if it makes you feel any better I lost my phone once and couldn't find it anywhere. I searched my whole house. don't asked my how I found it, but i did. It was next to the dumpster in the parking lot of Dixie High School. How the heck did it get there!
So funny! My girls (especially Olivia) totally went through this phase. Nothing was safe from the garbage monster :)
She is so stinkin' cute!!!! Jace just dumps the whole thing out, stomps on it and kicks it into the living room-- and then just walks away....
Haha Leila is such a cutie! My little niece does the same thing. It is funny for a bit and then can just get pretty nasty! Good luck! :)
