Pony-tail... kind-of
Here it is! 
Her hair is barely long enough to clump some of it together to fit 
an elastic around a 1/2 inch strand of it. 9 months I've been waiting! Actually, I've been waiting since I found out there was a girl in my womb. Such a small initiation into girl-hood (and it is small, really small, almost microscopic!), but what a milestone! Jesse came home from work and I emphatically gestured to his daughter's adorned head... he squinted, moved closer, squinted some more, and finally smiled at both of us, hugging us in the pride of the moment (I don't think he even realized what a momentous thing this is for me, he just knew from my gestures it was somthing to be celebrated). Congratulations Leila Belle! I dub your pony-tail the cutest (and smallest) in the land!

Laura, I second the dubbing. And not only do I agree that it's the cutest little pony-tail, but it belongs to a pretty cute little girl too! Give that special sweetheart a big kiss and a hug from grama!

hahaha! It looks like a little bug landed on her head. Who would even know the determination and skill it took to get such a teenie tiny band around that those 5 teenie tiny little hairs? Hey, they are making hair extensions for infants now-- I think you should get her a big blond topsy turvey ponytail and call her Fifi. She can totally pull it off. Few can; it's that Syphus in her.
Laura, I saw you at church today... we went to the Ott's little farewell thing, and I saw you guys walk in. I hadn't seen your little girl. I couldn't believe she was already that big. Looks like so much fun! We're actually having a little boy here pretty soon. Anyway, hope your life is just wonderful. Good Luck with everything!
