Cooper's Post

I think one of the best things we did for Cooper was to have Leila so close to him. For 2 reasons. 1) He knows the world does not revolve around him. 2) he has a little friend to play with all the time! If "play" in this case means tackle and wrestle. His favorite things lately are: popsicles, spongebob, tractors, "big-boy pants", books (Owen, Are you my mother?, and Go dog GO), and Daddy (always been his favorite... always will).I also can't do anything around the house without his help. Laundry - he has to help sort the laundry by color, change it from washer to dryer, AND help put it away... though not always in the right places. Dishes - he HAS to help wash, and along with the laundry, sometimes the putting away can be a little scary. Cleaning- this one's my favorite. Sometimes he'll mimick me cleaning and pull out a wet wipe and start wiping stuff down, but boy style. He'll shove the picture frames and kleenex off of the end table and wipe it down with his wet wipe and then leave all the stuff on the floor as he moves to another object to "clean". Also, there will be tears if he is not able to help with sweeping, mopping and vacuuming. I'm not sure if he actually LIKES cleaning... or if he just wants to be a part of whatever I'm doing... and that's usually what I'm doing. (*sigh*)
But Daddy and football are definatly his favorites. Once when we went to one of Uncle Sam's football practices he got scared of all of the Samoan's yelling, so now every time we pull up to the stadium and get out of the car he has to prove his bravery by saying " I not scared of football mama, I not scared!"
At JV games he even gets to go down on the field with Daddy. Lucky little guy!

Man...I feel so disconnected all the way up here in Idaho! Life as I don't know it is going on in St. George in Houston without me-it's all passing me by! ;) I would give my left lung (or right femur-take your pick) for a private jet so I could come visit y'all. Once I graduate in April I'm going to *try* to find a teaching job in the St. George area if I can talk Cameron into leaving his beloved BYU-I for Dixie (and if I can find a job that is!)
love you!

Crew does the same thing with cleaning! It's so odd, but his favorite things to play with are the swiffer mop, Kaylee's play vacuum, the broom, and he loves throwing things in the trash can! I just hope he keeps up with it!

Cooper,
YOU'RE DA MAN! You can go out there and rough it up on the field with the big boys and then come home and run a household as well as a woman! And you're man enough to post it on your blog too. The ladies really love that. You'll probably get a thousand hits on your blog before the night is over!
