By evening we were rested and ready to meet the family at Sea World. Cooper looked at the animals as a kind of odd fascination and nothing more. He gave me a kind of half/sideways smile and refused to join me in making seal noises (AR! AR! AR!). I always thought my kids would be at least as wierd as me, but I think we're already on our way to one of those parent/child relationships where the kid is relentlessly trying to make his parents act normal. Yikes, sorry Coop.
I think Leila's at that point too. Sorry Toots, your ears were cold! We had to do SOMETHING!
We headed off to some shows and caught one with seals that turned out to be a parody of all the other shows in sea world and then made it to one with whales and fire... don't remember the name, but sure remember the fire!
Cooper: "look a' da fire!... BIG ONE!"
It was pretty late when we headed out to get something to eat, and by the time we got to our eatin' place the kids were zonked. The Hard Rock in La Jolla has awesome Nachos, but not so awesome pulled pork sandwiches. If any of you... were... wondering.
